Researchers found that the sensors which are embedded in the Android smartphones allow hackers to duplicate the user’s fingerprints.

Now a day the most of the Android smart phones have fingerprint sensors to authenticate their identity by touch instead of by pass-code. As per new report, fingerprint sensors in Android devices are also allowing hackers to duplicate the user’s fingerprints.

This was confirmed by the researchers at the Black Hat conference, which is a part of a series of global information security events. It is a platform to provide an opportunity to security researchers to share latest information regarding risks, development and trends.

The researchers repeated the attack method on HTC One Max and Samsung Galaxy S5 and they said that there was a new way to hack android devices to get the fingerprints.

The popular Android devices Samsung, HTC and Huawei are now aware this mistake and have already started to update their software to hit it. The researchers also advised about the various attacks they note and applied it on high-end laptops with fingerprint sensors.

The vendors who are affected with this attack have been provided with patches and the customers have been advised to update their devices.

The fingerprint sensors on the Android smartphone do not protect the data, but the Apple’s Touch ID doesn’t provide any data without a crypto key even if an attacker has direct access to the sensors.
