Uttarakhand: Badrinath Temple which is at Garhwal Himalayas was reopened on Sunday after a gap of six months in the presence of Chief Minister Harish Rawat, Dinesh Dhane, Police and temple committee officials.

 Badrinath is a Hindu Temple which is also well-known as Badrinarayan Temple, located in the town of Badrinath in Uttarakhand, India. With the opening of Badrinath temple, the Char DhamYatra will begin in full swing at other shrines in the Gangotri, Yamunotri and Kedarnath.

Badrinath is a temple of Lord Vishnu and it is open for six month every year, between Aprilto November because of weather conditions at Himalayas.As per government figures the number of tourist visiting the state in 2012 is 2.84 crore, in 2013 is 2.09 crore and in 2014 is 2,26 crore respectively. In the year of 2013 the infrastructure at shrine was damaged, especially the roads which are leading to shrine because of heavy floods.

Eairler chief minister Harish Rawat observed the all the routes and said that Uttarakhand was safe as the devastating earthquake which is happened at neighbouring Nepal and parts of India has no impact on the state.

He asked district officials to have a close look on the arrangements to ensure smooth functioning of the pilgrimage. The Kedarnath shrine opened on 24th April, 2015 and Gangotri and Yamunotri shrines opened on April 21st. And the temple doors will be closed in October-November.
