Muzaffarpur village in Bihar attacked by an unnamed mob of around some thousands of (nearly 5000) people on Sunday afternoon. The situation was literally terrible where three of them are burnt alive in clashes, burn down 25 huts. People are taking treatment in local government hospital. An old women stated were they sitting around, it was an abrupt situation. A mob of around 5000 attackers appeared and started fire on houses and chasing everyone to beat.
After finding the primary reason behind the attack, the police stated boy has affair with a girl from neighbouring village. Girl’s family rejected the relationship with boy, as he is from other community. The boy was missing from January 9, where their family suspected a person. On Sunday morning they found his body from a field near the home of a person who blamed of kidnapping him. Then after a mob attacked the girl’s village and set fire to houses and destroyed entire properties.
The clashes at the predominantly Muslim village, around 55 km from state capital Patna, involve a love affair between a girl and a 19-year-old Hindu boy from a neighbouring village, the police said.
The situation is tense but under control, said senior Bihar police officers. Stated state government will pay Rs. 5 lakh as compensation for victims’ relatives.
“We have instructed people not to believe in any rumours. The sensitive areas are under alert,” said district magistrate Anupam Kumar.
