Tickets for Rio 2016 Olympics went on sale to the residents of Brazil through the official web portal of Olympic Games, report said on Wednesday.
Tickets for 2016 Rio Olympics started on sale yesterday, i.e. Tuesday. All the Brazil residents booked tickets from the official website.
Last date is till 30th April and all the local fans can book tickets online for which the results will be given in the month of June.
It is also announced that the people who had applied for the first instalment will only be eligible for the second dram that will be conducted in July.
And in the time being, non-residents can see some group of Authorised Ticket Resellers (ATR) in their region.
Each Authorised Ticket Reseller, ATR will have its own process of sales and it is the duty of fans to get optimum information from the company that will sell tickets in their territory.
Rio 2016 ticketing director, Donovan Ferreti said, “Any ATRs who are approved after 31 March, will be added to the list subsequently”.
As per the reports, about 7.5 million tickets will be sold out for the Rio Olympics in which more than half will be priced at 70 Brazilian reels that is about 22 US dollars or less.
And the least cost tickets for the sports event will be around 40 Brazilian reels (13 US dollars) , the most costliest will be 1,200 Brazilian reels.
It is confirmed that the seats for the opening ceremony at the Maracana stadium will be of 4,600 Brazilian reels.
