Chennai: Upcoming Tamil cinema Thoongavanam director said media that this story has been taken from a French film, Nuit Blanche and Kamal Haasan has re-written the script.

Thoongavanam has created lots of ripples in Kollywood. The trailer has clocked more than One Million views as per the reports and the trailer launch itself was a success. Apart from Kamal Haasan, there is a man behind in shaping up this movie, it is none other than Director Rajesh M Selva.

Soon after the trailer launch, we caught him and asked few words about movie. He spilled few beans regarding the project, “As you all heard, the movie is an adaptation of the story of a French movie ‘Nuit blanche’. But Kamal sir has written the screenplay to suit audience here in South India.

We got the legal rights and have re-written the story. The screenplay is written by Kamal sir and everyone knows that he is a genius when it comes to writing. The entire movie is a complete commercial action thriller. I can assure you that everyone will be engaged right from the first scene.

Prakash Raj is the villain, but we have one more surprise villain and it will be revealed on screen. Trisha has done role of a cop and she has done it perfectly. The movie was completed in short period only due to help of Kamal sir. Background score and re-recording process is happening right now.”
