Mumbai: Bollywood actor Farhan Akhtar supported the female actors who demand more wages for acting and said that it is their personal choice.

Actor cum Producer Farhan Akhtar has supported actresses who demand more wages. He says that will bring them at par with male actors. He also said that he will oblige to the wage system demand, if any actress demands him when he casts her.

Farhan while meeting reporters said this. He said, “I read in newspapers that there are many female actors who wanted to work on a wage system which works only for men. But I support them.

If I want to cast some actress and if they demand me such wages I will give it to them. But I can only speak about myself in relation to casting for a movie. The actress also has a right to say ‘NO’ if they think they are paid less. It is their personal choice.

One cannot be forced to work in a movie for a certain money. They have to say ‘Yes’, if not they don’t work. This is their personal decision and some personal choices have to be respected.”
