For the first time in the History of Ford Mustang, the car manufacturers has launched a sports car model in India at Rs.65 lakhs.

The Ford Mustang is an American automobile manufactured by Ford. In its history of 52 long years, it has never launched a single model in India. And for the first time the company has introduced a sports car model by launching in India.

On the eve of 6th generation Ford Mustang model launch, Ford India Executive Director for Marketing, Sales and Services, Anurag Mehrotra said that the vehicle is more than a car and has the ability to attract every segment of people in the country. It is built to drive by everyone.

The model comes with the specifications of 5.0-litre India gets the Ti-VCT V8 petrol engine variant with 401 PS and a maximum speed of 250 kmph. The model comes with a six-speed Getrag dual-clutch automatic transmission with paddle shifters.

Audi TT, BMW Z4 and the newly upcoming model of Nissan’s GT-R are the main competitors for the newly launched model of Ford’s Mustang. In the past year 2015, Mustang stood first in Sports cars sale segment. Nearly 1,10,000 units were sold globally in the previous year.

Mustang is offered in six colours – Race Red, Black, Triple Yellow Tri-coat, Magnetic, Oxford White and Ingot Silver.
