Gujarat Technological University (GTU) is going to conduct the Gujarat Common Entrance Test for admission to MBA, MCA and other programmes in its affiliated colleges. GCET is scheduled to be conducted on May 7 between 11 am and 2 pm at various exam centre locations in Gujarat.

Gujarat Common Entrance Test Details 2016

Gujarat Technological University will be conducting the test for granting admission to MBA, MCA and other programmes. The exam will be conducted in four sections. The question paper will be given in objective multiple type questions. The candidates are required to choose papers and subjects for appearing in the entrance examination.

Exam pattern:

The paper will consist of 100 questions. The time duration of the exam will be of 80 minutes. Attempting all the questions is mandatory. Negative marking will be done for each wrong answer. Candidates appearing for MBA and MCA will have to solve 120 multiple choice questions (MCQs) in 96 minutes.

The question paper will be divided into the following 4 sections:

Logical reasoning

Quantitative aptitude

General awareness

English language skills

Marks and Negative Marking:

 There will be a negative marking. However, a record of incorrect answers given by a candidate will be will be considered for Negative marking.

Educational qualification Required:

To apply for this test, the applicant should be holding a Bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years from any recognised university or institute with minimum 50 percent of aggregate marks. The candidates who are in the final year of their degree are also eligible to apply.  It is compulsory to have a degree from the universities of Gujarat only.
