The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Goa, released the official notification of Goa CET 2016. Application form, important dates and exam dates are given below. The application will open on 28th March 2016.

inline_934_http://indread.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/Goa-CET.jpgGCET is a Goa Common Entrance Test. It is state level entrance test conducted by Directorate Technical Education, Goa. The test is conducted to provide admission to the first year Professional Degree courses of Medical, Dental, Engineering, Pharmacy, Homeopathy, Ayurveda, Allied Health Sciences and Nursing in the state. Qualified candidates will get admission to private and government medical and engineering colleges located in Goa. As per news, the organization has decided to organize this test on 10th and 11th May 2016.

Educational Qualification Required:

Those who are interested in applying for the Goa CET 2016 must belong to Goa state, having valid domicile of Goa.

Applicant should pass in 12th Standard or equivalent having English, Physics, Chemistry and Maths/Biology/Biotechnology as the subjects.

To apply for MBBS/BDS courses, one should have completed the age of 17 years age as on before December 31st

Application Process:

To apply for this test you need to download the application form from the official website– Form A and/or Form B/B1 from 28th March 2016. Fill the application form and submit it at the following locations by 2nd April 2016.

  1. Ravindra Bhavan, Margao (For South Goa District GCET Exam Centres, including Ponda).
  2. Directorate of Technical Education, Porvorim (For North Goa District GCET Exam Centres).

Goa Common Entrance Test is a paper-pen based exam. There are four papers- Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics. Physics, Chemistry will be held on 10th May and Biology and Mathematics will be held on 11th May. The time duration of each paper is 2 hours. The correct answer shall carry 1 mark for each question. There will be no negative marking for wrong or multiple answers. The question paper will be the full objective type. Each subject consists of 75 marks for a total of 225 Marks.

GCET 2016 Important Dates

Application notified 28th March 2016.
Last date for application form 2nd April 2016.
Last date for receiving of the application at D.T.E. and collecting Admit Cards (with late fees) 29th April 2016.
Dates of Exam 10th May 2016 & 11th May 2016.
The result of GCET (Expected)

18th May 2016.
