The division bench of the Hyderabad High Court has directed the both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh state governments to pay salaries of 1,200 electricity employees in Telangana state who were allocated to AP state after bifurcation.

As per Hyderabad High Court order, both governments should pay the salaries of over 1,200 employees within four weeks of time. The employees who were not getting salaries since April this  year will be paid as per ration prescribed under the state Reorganization Act i.e. 58:42.

The division bench is also directed that these 1,200 employees shall continue to work under Telangana Genco and TSSPDCL until final disposal of the case.

After the state bifurcation, TSSPDCL had framed the guidelines for distribution of employees working under TGenco and TSSPDCL and also passed relieving orders to over 1,200 employees to AP in April this year. As per the guide lines employees were relieved based on their nativity but not on their place of birth.

To give a major relief to 1,200 employees, division bench of Hyderabad High Court which comprises Justice R Subhash Reddy and Justice A Shankar Narayana has ordered the both state government to pay the salaries within the four weeks of time.
