An Instant messaging platform Hike Messenger launched a Hindi News feed which allows users to access news reports including sports, entertainment, politics, technology and others.

Hike Messenger users now can read news in Hindi, an instant messaging platform has introduced a Hindi news feed in its app after seeing 100 million views of English news stories per week. Hindi news feed allows users to access news regarding sports, politics, entertainment, technology and others.

Home grown chat application headed by Kavin Mittal, son of Bharti Enterprises chairman Sunil Bharti Mittal said to the users that, Hindi news will be available within the instant messaging platform on their smartphones.

Founders of Indian App are believed that, this is a step towards to bring India online in a locally relevant way. Users can switch between Hindi and English news by tapping a button.

As per information Hike Messenger currently has 35 million registered users  out of which 1.5 million users subscribed to its English news feed and viewing 100 million stories per week, soon it will launch news feeds in local languages which will help the messaging platform to increase its user base in the country.

Other popular messaging services WhatsApp have 900 million users and Viber has 40 million users respectively.
