The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection is an autonomous agency in India which was started its operation from 1975. IBPS conducts Common Written Examination for the recruitment of officers and clerks in Indian banks.
This IBPS CWE is mandatory for the candidates who seek employment in 29 public sector and regional rural banks. Every year it conducts common written examination for posts of Probationary Officers (PO), Clerical Cadre and Specialist Officer.

Coming to the IBPS CWE 6 PO Pre-exam Review details, the preliminary exam is conducted for 100 marks with 100 questions in the time duration of one hour. The exam in conducted on Quantitative Aptitude, General English and Reasoning Ability. Some lakhs of candidates have applied for the exam due to this, the officials has conducted in exam in three shifts.
English Language: In this section the total number of questions covered is 30 and conducted for 30 marks. This section contains ordering of jumbled sentences, one word substitution, spotting errors and commonly misspelled words. The level of this section is little bit tough which is considered as moderate.
Quantitative Aptitude or Numerical Ability consists of 35 questions which are conducted for 35 marks. It takes time to solve the problems even though they are known. It is expected to attempt 20 to 22 questions in 25 to 30 minutes of time.
Reasoning: this section is little bit moderate as compared to remaining two sections, but questions on seat arrangement, number sequences took time to solve.
