The International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) is planning to host this year’s IIFA Weekend at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in the month of June, 2015.

One of the reputed South Asian film academies, the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) is planning to host this year’s IIFA Weekend at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in June.

It is said that the IIFA planned for such sessions in US, UK, Europe, Middle East, Southeast Asia, South Africa, Sri Lanka and Canada from the past 15 years.

After 13 years, the cultural event is going to hit Malaysian people with lots of fun and entertainment. Now it is the place of Kuala Lumpur where the people can witness their favorite stars at one place of the city.  You can have the pleasure of watching all Indian Cinema’s most celebrated event.

On Friday, 13th March, the 16th IIFA Voting Weekend for the IIFA Awards started for the members of Indian Film. Many of the industry stalwarts, actors, directors, producers, technicians and composers cast their votes that decide the nominations for the awards of the celebrities.

Anil Kapoor and Dia Mirza stood first in giving their extreme support in the 13th, 14th and 15th of March to vote for the 16th IIFA Weekend. Akshara Haasan, Riteish Deshmukh, Ayushmann Khurrana, Tusshar Kapoor, Huma Qureshi, Vivek Oberoi, Armaan Jain and Kriti Sanon are some of the famous personalities who participated in this event.

IIFA awardee Kapoor said being the first vote, “I am honored to be given the opportunity to cast the first vote and show my support to the institution that is the IIFA Weekend and Awards. I’ve been a friend of IIFA for many years and I will always continue to support what I believe is the biggest congregation of the film industry and one that awaited by the entire fraternity year on year.”

Andre Timmins, the director of Wizcraft International Entertainment commented, “We are very happy to announce that IIFA will be travelling to Malaysia this year. We had a great Weekend there 13 years ago when we went to the Genting Highlands and the country has welcomed us back.”
