New Delhi: An Indian Air Force officer based in Bathinda Air Force station in Punjab was arrested by Special forces from the Delhi Police after intelligence agencies found him having links to the Pakistan Inter Service Intelligence.

The officer was immediately suspended after news was out. The Delhi Police with the help of Punjab Police arrested Ranjith, a Indian Air Force officer working as a lead aircraft engineer based in Punjab.

Ranjith was brought to New Delhi for being produced in the court. He will be produced in the court on Wednesday. Intelligence agencies were spying on him after he was out n radar was sharing important information, documents to an unknown person in ISI in Pakistan through emails and internet text messaging services.

This came up on IB’s radar and started to track him down. The information was passed to Delhi Police and they then arrested on him on charges of spying. One investigation officer who is involved in this investigation has confirmed reports that, this espionage with ISI is being run by 3 persons. One is the Air Force officer who is caught, other an ex Indian Army officer and a BSF personnel.

All the other two are also in the radar and will be arrested soon. Ranjith is from Kerala and is working with Air Force since 5 years now. If charges are proved, he will be court martial.
