New Delhi, June 22: The Indian armed forces joined at the International Yoga Day Celebration on June 21st, at national capital Rajpath along with all other.

International Yoga day was celebrated on 21st June, 2015 at national capital Rajpath, more than 37,000 people were participated in this event to create record. Prime Minister Narendra Modi headed a mega event to mark the day.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi performed various asanas including Vajrasan and Padmasan, around 40,000 people including schools children, National Cadet Corps (NCC), Government officials and Yoga enthusiast, Cabinet Ministers, diplomats, foreign delegates, BJP officials participated in this event. Nearly 2,000 digital cinema screens were setup across the Rajpath to teach Yoga asanas for participants.

The session was carried out by the Indian army personals in various units across the country from Kargil and Ladakh. Army General Dalbir Singh, Air Chief Marshal Arup Raha and Navy Admiral RK Dhowan were present at the event.

Yoga is the only thing to reduce stress and there is no other alternative for it. It keeps calm and also increases our concentration and it also raises the immunity of your body. The idea of celebrating International Yoga day was pitched by Narendra Modi at the United Nations General Assembly lasy year.

Similar yoga celebrations are also celebrated across India, with Chief Ministers like Vasundhara Raje, Chandrababu Naidu, Devendra Fadnavis and Raghubar Das joining in.
