Jeep 551 got revealed before the Paolo Motor Show 2016 event. The spy photographer has leaked the images of the vehicle on Internet.

Jeep 551 got exposed much before the official reveal at the Sao Paolo Motor Show 2016. The vehicle is also known as the C-SUV model. The crossover is leaked on the internet while it is conducting the drives on roads. The spy cam has caught the pics of the model and revealed the looks of the vehicle.

Jeep 551 is one of the most important launches as the company plans to replace the existing models completely. The Jeep Compass and Patriot which are termed as the company’s second-gen model will be replaced with this new model.

The news model C-SUV will be manufactured in India at the Fiat manufacturing plant in Maharashtra’s Ranjangaon. The production process will start from the next year.

Earlier, the pics were captured when the vehicle was in a test drive on roads. The front design of headlights, grille and body lines are derived from the Grand Cherokee. The new look of the C-SUV makes it look younger than the earlier models.

The latest model is based on the platform of Fiat 500X and Renegade. As stated earlier in our edition of the Jeep, the engine has two specifications – a 2.0 litre Tigershark petrol engine and a 2.0 litre MultiJet II diesel engine.

The petrol engine produces 164 PS whereas the diesel engine produces 170 PS power. Both are mated to either a 6-speed manual or a 9-speed automatic transmission.

The new model can be stated as the competitor for the Ford Endeavour and Toyota Fortuner in the SUV segment of cars. The Indian automobiles have a good market in this segment. Hence, the company Jeep is concentrating on capturing the market share with this model.
