New Delhi, June 15: JMI BDS Entrance 2015 – Jamia Millia Islamia bachelor of dental surgery entrance exam has been postponed due to the leakage of test paper a day before the exam.

Jamia Millia Islamia has scheduled the JMI BDS entrance exam for bachelor of dental surgery (BDS) for Sunday i.e. on 14th June, 2015. But it was postponed due to the reports of the test paper being leaked a day before the examination.

According to the reports, on Saturday night Jamia’s media office said that the entrance exam has postponed due to unavoidable circumstances. The admiration has taken this decision following reports of the leak. The administration is also cancelled the engineering entrance test which was scheduled for Saturday because of similar rumours.

The administration of university has announced that, the date of BDS entrance test would be notified in a couple of days and they will intimate the information regarding entrance examinations to all examinees through email and SMS.

Around 6,600 students have to take the test for 50 seats in BDS. The B.Tech entrance examination question paper has also allegedly leaked before the examination on Saturday, more than 35,000 students appeared for the test.

For the first time university has signed for a contract with Computer Maintenance Corporation (CMC), a subsidiary of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) to handle the online admission process and other related works.

Vice-Chancellor of Jamia said that “we outsourced the entrance examination with CMC agency for its smooth conduct and transparency, but when we heard about the alleged leak, we postponed the entrance examination for BDS and we will now try to collect the information about this and decide on the next date”.

He also said that, the university is seeking help from polices to find out the information about the number of leaks across the universities.
