Chennai: Kathukutti movie starring Naren, Soori, Sruthi in lead roles which was expected to release on October 1 has been banned for two weeks in the Kollywood movie release.

One of the forthcoming movies was Kathukutti and it has some good expectations in the industry. The film was all set to be hitting the screens from today, October 1st, but was unfortunately banned.

Kathukutti stars Naren, Soori, in the lead roles with Sruthi as the female lead. The film was banned unexpectedly on accord of the high court judgement. The court has ordered for the ban of the film release because of a case filed by the producer Anwar Kabir belonging to the Nila Satchi Company.

As per the reports, the distribution rights for the film were acquired by the ‘One Production’ Company. However, the owner of the company had had an agreement with the producer Anwar in the last March for paying money for his production work. Since he had failed to do so, Anwar had approached the court claiming for a stay order.

According to the case petition, the high court has ordered the Company to first settle the amount for the producer and then release the movie. Until then it is not possible for the movie to get released. The court has issued a ban on the movie release for 2 weeks.
