Mumbai: 26/11 Mumbai attacks accused, Lakhvi, Lashkar-e-Taiba militants are planning to attack Mumbai now, intelligence agencies warned Mumbai police on this and built high security at their High Court.

Intelligence agencies warned India that mastermind and Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) are again planning to attack Mumbai. Recently mastermind and Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) commander Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi was released from Pakistan jail.

Reporters said that, Intelligence agencies alerted Mumbai Police to stop possible terror attack by LeT militants. According to this, a letter has been sent to city police by the intelligence agencies saying that Pakistan-based terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) is planning to target the financial capital of the Country by sending at least 8-10 militants.

According to letter, LeT is planning to attack on hotels, railway stations. In 2008 Mumbai attacks, LeT targeted two luxury hotels, a train station and a Jewish centre that killed 166 people. Frequently India’s coastline was exposed to terror attacks; in order to overcome this, India has elevated high security at Costal area and invested heavily on patrol vessels, helicopters and building a costal radar network.

Recently 55-years-old Lakhvi who is the main accused in 26/11 Mumbai attacks was released from jail. He was arrested in December 2008 and is a close relative of LeT founder and Jud chief Hafiz Saeed. Lahore High court did not satisfy with Pakistan government evidence, so immediately directed government to release him from jail.

Reports on Tuesday said that, after 2008 Mumbai attacks again LeT millitants and Lakhvi are planning to attack on Mumbai to overcome this, India alerted Mumbai Police and upgraded high security at Mumbai.
