Mark Zuckerberg shuts down Facebook Anon group as it went more political. It also has a blame for employee harassment. This action from Zuckerberg took place in late 2016. Facebook Anon is an internal anonymous group created on Facebook to express employee’s problems and views which can’t be discussed in office environment directly.
Why Facebook Anon was shut down
When the opinion turned into persecution, and the comments went into the indecent manner, the Facebook has to decide between shutting down the page. There was no kind of intimation or explanation for arrestment of Facebook Group. The group started speaking about the US presidency in 2016 when Trump got elected. The comments in the group went more diplomatic the management has to decide on the closure of group. Mark Zuckerberg discontinued the group in December 2016 immediately after Trump getting elected as president of The United States.

“The ‘FB Anon’ internal Facebook group violated our Terms of Service, which require people who use Facebook, including our employees to use an authentic identity on our platform,” Facebook Head of People Lori Goler said. “Last year, we disabled any anonymous internal groups or pages within Facebook and reminded our people of the places at our company where they can have discussions about issues that matter to them, openly or confidentially as appropriate,” Goler added to her statement.
