July 10: Microsoft formally launched MS Office 2016 for MAC with new versions of Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook available in 139 countries and 16 languages.

MS Office 2016 is now available immediately for Office 365 Subscribers, Microsoft has launched the preview few months back, now it officially announced it for MAC users after the last major release in 2011. Initially Microsoft launched 2016 version only for Office 365 subscribers, others are forced to wait until September. Now this new software is available at 139 countries including India in 16 languages along with updated versions of Word, Excel and Power Point and Outlook features.

Microsoft launched this based on the feedback of users initially for office 365 subscribers. This new version MS Office 2016 includes support for Retina displays, task panes, Multi-Touch gestures cloud integration, the signature ribbon interface and a full Screen view mode.

Microsoft prepared this office 2016 based on the response of preview, it got over 100,000 pieces of feedback when it launched preview of office 2016, based on this they released 7 updates in four months with significant development in performance and stability. And they also added upgraded features such as Mail Merge in Word, Propose New Time in Outlook and Support for External Data Connections in Excel.

Good news for Mac users, Microsoft will continue the improvements on office for Mac over time based on user’s feedback and they are in a plan to issue updates and new features for office 365 subscribers at least once per quarter.
