India: Country’s biggest Multi Application Solar Telescope (MAST) was installed by Physical Research Laboratory Professor UR Rao on Tuesday at Udaipur Solar Observatory.

India’s biggest Multi Application Solar Telescope, which can help to study about the movements of stars and sun even in the day time was inaugurated by UR Rao chairman of counselling management of Physical Research Laboratory Professor at the Udaipur Solar Observatory.

As per details the biggest multi-application Solar Telescope will be used for researchers to reach new heights globally in the study of sun and related components.

The Asia’s biggest telescope was sponsored by Department of Space and it was installed under the Ministry of Science and Technology. MAST is the nation’s first major solar telescope with multiple applications which can be used to study about sun and 3-D images. With the help of biggest telescope solar blast and solar flares can be taken.

The biggest Solar Telescope was installed at Udaipur’s solar observatory and it was situated at 300 meters above of sea level and the temperature at this is remains pleasant. Additionally, the turbulence in the air also supports it for stability in the study.

According to information, MAST was developed in 2004 year and till 2008 additional elements were added to it and it was installed in 2012 year. MAST was connected with a glass of 50 centimeters diameters and its front was developed by ISRO. As per sources, scientist claimed that, in next 5 years they would be able to take the 3-D images of Sun’s atmosphere.
