Chennai: Naasar became the President of Nadigar Sangam after election results declared yesterday. He defeated Sarath Kumar by 113 votes. Here what he said about Sangam.

Nadigar Sangam elections finally happened yesterday. Vishal’s Pandavar team and Sarath Kumar team locked horns with each other. The election took place at Saint Ebbas Matriculation School.

Super Star Rajinikanth and Vijay came to election spot by 7:15am. They were the early birds and following them then came, actors Vikram, Sasikumar and Samuthirakani. As we reported earlier, 3139 people were eligible to vote out of which only 2607 votes were registered.

But this polling itself was considered a huge one as so far no one bothered much about this Nadigar Sangam election. The elections went without any hiccups even though there was little drama outside polling booth.

Elections ended by 5pm and after a break counting began around 6pm. However counting went at a snail pace and results were announced by 11pm. The top three spots were announced. Judge E Padmanaban formally announced that Nassar won by a margin of 113 votes. Naasar who was lagging behind initially got 1344 votes by the end. Sarath Kumar just managed to get 1231 votes.

After winning, President Naasar spoke to media and he said, “Right now, we are happy with the victory. We are tired and exhausted and we are completely blank right now. We will continue to do the good along with old members. I already had a word with Sarathkumar and he promised to help me. And we just want to bring back the unity.”

Naasar further added, “I wanted to extend our heartfelt thanks to our Tamil Nadu Police Department who gave police protection for whole day. I also wanted to thank everyone who voted for us. We just need to celebrate this victory now. We will announce other details in a formal press meet soon.”
