When KRR came forward with the idea of doing one more mythological cum devotional film, something along the lines of ‘Annamayya’ and ‘Sri Ramadasu,’ there was no reason for King Nag to say no. Yes, the latest we hear has Nag signed a movie under KRR direction which deals with the story of Baba Hathi Ram Ji. Though an official confirmation is needed on this, the story sounds quite interesting.

Akkineni Nagarjuna started shooting for his devotional film Om Namo Venkatesaya today morning with the blessings of Lord Venkateswara. In the above picture, Nagarjuna is seen praying god, wherein director KRR is seen giving instructions to the actor and cameraman S Gopal Reddy is capturing the sequence.

Baba Hathiram is a staunch devotee of Lord Venkateshwara. Pleased by Hathiram, every day Lord Balaji used to play dice with him. One day when God forgets his necklace at Hathiram’s place and returns to the temple, the actual story begins. Hathiram Baba Math exists even today in Tirumala where his Samadhi is also seen.

Recently, the makers got an unexpected warning from Hathi Ram Mutt organizers who asked to inform all the details, before starting the movie. They warned them not to include any objectionable scenes in the film. KRR who is also a TTD Board member is likely to meet the Mutt organizers very soon.
