Why he did this and what made him to do so? We are aware of child marriages, Widow’s remarriage, but there is a shocking ritual entitled “Nata Pratha”. If law is taken into consideration as per Nata Pratha, a married man can get affair with another married woman as an extra marital affair. This is not a crime and that woman acts as a license for the illicit love affair of man.
As Ratan Lal faced criticism for an affair with another woman, hence he wished to marry a girl so that according to Nata Pratha, no one can dare to do anything. He thought that the girl will stay with her parents and gets fees from him. But fate does matters, for violating Prohibition of Child Marriage Act 2006, he is arrested.
India is known for multi religious country with lots of customs and culture. It is a women respectable country, love and relationship, peace, prosperity and what not. This is what we have; but where is all our culture, customs are going? Is it acceptable for a person to share his life with a second even when the first one is not divorced, alive? Answers for these questions are similar to our earth end point which is endless.
The Constitution of India is the longest written one of any sovereign country in the world. It contains 448 articles in 25 parts, 12 schedules, 5 appendices and 98 amendments (out of 120 Constitution Amendment Bills). All these are built up for people in India long ago. And we say that India government is “Of the People, By the People, For the People”.
Whole government is for people; but no one bothers for fellow being. This is what the reality is. Everyone needs to have minimum responsibility for their neighbors who live with them, as we are in a country where women are treated equally to goddess. No need to pray them as Goddess, treat at least as a human being.
