National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) has immediately doubled the number of rescuers as rains have stopped and there has been some decline in flood level. They have decided that this is the right time to penetrate deep into the affected areas to aid the marooned.

The decision was taken after ensuring that there were no rains for more than 18 hours. Even though, the Meteorological department has confessed there would be rains.

The Crisis management group took a meeting and the decision was taken by Union home secretary Rajiv Mehrishi along with officials of ministries of defence, food, railways, agriculture, health, department of telecommunication.

If no rains happen today, the team will be split into two and with more number of buoys and life jackets the teams will be split into two and they will be entering the interior parts where people are marooned without any help. The two teams have been deployed and right from morning they have started their works already. Let’s pray that God will be kind and keep the rains away.
