Mumbai, July 7: The Metropolitan Regional Development Authority has revealed a new brand logo to Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation (MMRC) which will be used on all the metro trains, metro stations and official documents of MMRC.

Metropolitan Regional Development Authority commissioner and MMRC director unveiled a brand new logo for MMRC, which was designed by director of Design Orb Poornima Burte. This new logo will reflects across the transport services of Mumbai and will be incorporated in all MMRC posters, tickets, stations and other official documents of MMRC.

Mr.Madan said that “The earlier logo of MMRC designed with an elevated Metro-III corridor in mind, but this new logo is more relevant, fresh and robust”

The designer of logo Burte explained the idea behind the logo while launching it. She said that “we designed this logo with various colours as Mumbai city and we wanted the diversity to come across through this. Metro is new concept to city, Sun rises every day as like Metro too has come to Mumbai”.

Seven other logos were presented finally Orb.Poornima Burte logo was finalised by the MRDA. It took two months to design the logo. In logo launching programme, MMRC also discussed about the process of giving out the tenders, rehabilitation of Project Affected People (PAP) as well as the current status of the crashed at Aarey Colony.
