New Delhi: Digital Payment firm Paytm is planning to sell movie and entertainment tickets like Bookmyshow.com, which has expanded its services to all big multiplexes in the country.

Bookmyshow.com is the leading network to book movie tickets in online in any of big multiplexes in the country. As per recent reports, it commands 90 percent market share in movie ticketing business, but that may not be the case for too long. Digital Payment and leading e-commerce firm Paytm is planning to give tuff competition to it.

E-commerce frim Paytm is planning to introduce online movie ticket business as like BookMyShow, the founder and chairman of company Vijay Shekar Sharma said that , they are planning to create a marketplace for entertainment tickets with deals and offers for customers.

Paytm offering its services slightly different than of BookMyShow,it offers a marketplace, where any one  can offer their services, that means a multiplex or theatre will be the seller. Whereas, BookMyShow worked based on the partnership with multiplex and theatre chains.

A user may get advantages by booking movie tickets with Paytm marketplace in form of various coupons, offers and deals. BookMyShow ticket rates are standard, whereas Paytm theatre can offer discounts and various offers popcorn and other goodies like free valet parking to ticket buyers.

The founder of company is also told that, Paytm cannot see any conflict, it is only the marketplace for ticket sellers even BookMyShow can also be as one of the ticket sellers.
