“For allegedly painting Hindu Gods and godmen in a criticizing manner, protests against PK from the different places in Gujarat are out to ban the movie screening in theaters.”

 Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) followers burnt PK posters Inox multiplex in Jadeswar area in Bharuch town, Baba Ramdev also protested and demanded for ban on the screening of the movie, PK.

As a result of this, in Raopura area in Vadodara several Bajrang Dal activists were detained. A police officer said “for breaching law and order situation”.

The protesters from VHP alleged that Khan had hurt religious sentiments of Hindu religious community, hence demanding to ban the movie. Similar things are witnessed in Delhi wherein disputers tore the movie posters outside the theatres and burnt them.

Yoga Guru and religious leader Baba Ramdev also knocked the look at PK disputes and said to stop the movie screening in theatres.

VHP General Secretary of South Gujarat Niral Patel said, “Sixteen of our activists were detained by the police today in front of Pratap cinema near Gandhinagar-gruh area in Vadodara, when they were burning an effigy of Aamir Khan while protesting against his movie ‘PK’ as it hurt our religious sentiments.”

When asked for the reason behind the disputes against movie, Patel said, “I have not watched the movie, but as people said that Hindu religion and gods are projected in a satirical manner, we decided to protest against it and it will be continued.”

“Workers from Bajrang Dal raised slogans against Aamir Khan and the director of movie Rajkumar Hirani in Dhansura area near Modasa town in Arvalli district”, said VHP officer-bearer.

The same thing happened in Patan, Sabarkantha and Kutch districts. The workers were on demand to ban the screening movie immediately.

A group of 20 Bajrang Dal workers wrecked two theaters in Ahmedabad city on Tuesday. They did this for not following their “diktat” to end the movie screening.
