Chennai: Ram Charan and Surender Reddy combination for Thani Oruvan Telugu remake is the right choice – said original Tamil version director Mohan Raja.

‘Thani Oruvan’ has completely changed fortunes of ‘Jayam’ Ravi and his brother Mohan Raja. Both the brothers enjoyed success. This Tamil movie which released last month was a huge success and opened to positive critics. Right from start, it has a great positive lining.

The movie is still doing good as ‘Puli’ which released on October 1st is a flop and never had any home DVD release. Thani Oruvan also ranks as profitable venture in 2015.  D.V.V. Danayya has bagged the distribution rights for Telugu version.

Earlier it was said that Mohan Raja himself will direct the movie in all languages. But for Thani Oruvan Telugu remake, director was said as Surender Reddy and it surprised everyone. Regarding not directing the movie in Telugu version, Raja says, he knows Ram Charan personally and he is not worried as it is in right hands.

He also added, “Soon after ‘ThaniOruvan’ got released, the first person to wish me through phone was Ram Charan. I am happy that he is doing lead role in my movie. Only he can do justice to that role. He already confirmed Surender Reddy for remaking the project and I can’t poke my nose right now.”
