Mumbai, June 29: Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra are going to act in Ram Lakhan movie remake. Rohit Shetty under Dharma productions and Mukta Arts to direct it.

Latest rumour in Bollywood is that, Student of Year debutants Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra will be soon together in the remake of 1989 film ‘Ram Lakhan’. As per rumour Sidharth will play Jackie Shroff role as Ram and Varun will play Anil Kapoor role as Lakhan.

However there has been no official announcement by the actors, both are busy with their current projects. This remake movie is directed by Rohit Shetty and Co-produced by Karan Johar and Rohit. Co-producer Karan recently announced through micro blogging site, that “Rohit Shetty under Dharma productions and Mukta Arts are coming together to remake of Subhash Ghai’s 1989 iconic blockbuster Ram –Lakhan”.

Ram Lakhan is a bollywood movie which was released in 1989, directed and produced by Subhash Ghai and the movie has Anil Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Madhuri Dixit, Dimple Kapadia and Raakhee. This was blockbuster for both dynamic actors Anil and Jackie who started their career at the same time.

Varun and Sidharth both are busy with forthcoming projects, and there is no official announcement by the actors. Sid is currently preparing his role for Brother Movie whereas Varun is busy with most anticipated film Dilwale starring with Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol and Kriti Sanon. This remake movie is creating more buzz in Bollywood and it would be interesting to see that who will replace the roles of Madhuri Dixit and Dimple Kapadia.
