Hyderabad, June 30: She Shuttle Bus was launched for all women passengers to have a safe ride. The dream transport has come true with this latest technology driven security bus system.
Crime rate has been increased in the present days, to overcome this problem, buses to offer safety for women in IT sector. All the women in IT corridor are going to be safeguarded with a lady security guard and latest technology-driven security systems in the buses that are launched under “She Shuttle Bus”. The dream transport of many lady employees has come live for safety.
There are two buses that you will be seeing at major junctions mainly at Madhapur and Gachibowli. Buses will be running for complete week from 8:00 AM to 11:00 PM for the convenience of women passengers. This is an initiative of Society of Cyberabad Security Council (SCSC) and started its work from Monday. Telangana IT Minister K.T. Rama Rao and Transport Minister P. Mahender Reddy flagged off the “She Shuttle” yesterday.
Reports say that out of 3.5 lakh employees of IT sector in Cyberabad, 1/3rd is women. And this bus initiative is going to help everyone along with some added vehicle in future for all bus routes making possible. The officials said that Reach Safe app that is developed by Votary Tech will be installed in all buses to reduce crime rate. The project of these buses has been launched with a cost of Rs. 40 Lakh.
IT Minister said, “We are planning to add four more buses as we are confident that the initiative will be a success. Out of 3.5 lakh IT employees working in Cyberabad, one-third are women. Our government emphasises on the safety and security of these employees and our commitment is towards making Hyderabad a safer city with smart technologies.”
Reach Safe app embedded with this She Shuttle Bus will be monitoring in real-time and it designed for one-touch police alert in case of emergency. It is said that Cyberabad Commissionerate will be monitoring the bus service. Bharani Kumar Aroll, Secretary, SCSC said while addressing the meeting that whenever an alert is raised, police teams will trace the location and reach in few minutes.
