A very popular producer, Ramanaidu Daggubati who was 78 year old has died today with the chronic illness as they said that he suffered from prostate cancer.
Ramanaidu Daggubati, a 78 year old producer who was born on June 6th, 1936 in Karamchedu of Prakasam District took his last breathe at his residence. The sources said that he suffered a lot due to prostate cancer. Ramanaidu has been unwell for a while now and was under constant medication of alternative medicine. The death news of Ramanaidu came as a big shock for entire Telugu film fraternity and several celebrities have expressed their grief over the death of the veteran producer.
Personal Life
Ramanaidu used to live with his wife Rajeswari, sons Suresh Babu Daggubati (producer), Venkatesh Daggubati (actor) and daughter Lakshmi (Akkineni Nagarjuna’s first wife) (mother of Naga Chaitanya) at his place in Hyderabad.
Industrial Career
Ramanaidu has produced about 130 movies almost in all languages like Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, Punjabi, Bhojpuri, Oriya and other languages with the banner name of Suresh Productions, as that is his first son’s name.
Milestones
- Ramanaidu received the Padma Bhushan award.
- He received the third highest civilian award from Government of India in 2012 for his contribution to the Telugu cinema.
- In 2009, Ramanaidu was conferred with Dada Saheb Phalke award for life time achievement in film industry.
- His name also features in the Guinness Book of Records.
Political Career
Not only successful in his film career but also remind as one of the nation appraised persons. Ramanaidu also participated in the elections and He elected as a Member of Parliament for the Bapatla constituency of Guntur district in the period of 1999 to 2004. This can be said as the milestone period of his life where he had his life very efficiently.
