Chennai: In the upcoming Suriya’s movie Singam, Shruti haasan will be CID who will assist Suriya throughout and she will be seen in cop dress in some of the scenes.

‘Singam’ is one of the famous franchise made in Kollywood. The movie is directed by Director Hari. Following the success of first part, a sequel released two years back and it was even a bigger hit. Now Director Hari plans to end the series on a high with trilogy.

As we said earlier, the cast is retained. Anushka will be the female lead and she will pair with Surya. The same cast is retained for most part. Shruti haasan is the new addition. The team planned to start the shooting at Kolkata as rains are spoiling the party in Thoothukudi.

Now we hear some tidbits about the movie. The movie begins right from the marriage of Anushka and Suriya. Suriya is given an important assignment to track down a network of smugglers and Shruti haasan will be CID who will assist Suriya throughout.

The team had initial plans of starting the first schedule in Kolkata. But rains in Kolkata has kept the team in hold. Anushka will not be a part of this schedule. However in second schedule, she will join the team.
