Sri Ramaswamy Memorial University (SRM University) is a deemed university in the state of Tamil Nadu. It is formerly called as SRM institute of science and technology. It is founded in 1985 under the University of Madras as SRM engineering college in Kattankulathur. It has 7 campuses across the country there are four in Tamil Nadu Namely-Kattankulanthur, Ramapuram, Vadapalani, Tiruchchirappali and three others in NCR, Sonepet and Gangtok. The institute became deemed in the year 2003-2004. It became SRM University in the year 2006.it gained the status of a full fledged University. The SRM University conducts exams and admits students into the under graduate courses without any connection with the government. The university is approved by university grants commission and accredited by NAAC (National assessment and accreditation council). It is given grade A status by NAAC.
Students from across the country come and pursue under graduate courses in SRM University. The University conducts exams and announces the results every year. Now it has conducted the SRMJEEE exam 2017 and will release the results of the exam today. Candidates must have worked very hard to get through these exams. Those students who are qualified in the exams attend the counselling. The counselling will be done in online and offline modes. The offline counselling will be from 14/05/2017 to 23/05/2017.the online counselling will be held from 25/05/2017 onwards.
