Chennai: Suhasini Mani Ratnam here at press meeting gave a shocking statement regarding the upcoming OK Bangaram movie review. She said, “Only Qualified Can Give OK Bangaram Movie Review.” So, will it curb one’s freedom of expression?

According to some gossips, film critics are willing to call for an unofficial ban on next Mani Ratnam’s movie venture OK Bangaram both in Tamil and Telugu. As a high banner movie, it is slated to release tomorrow i.e. on April 17 and till now, no major buzz are there around the film.

This is due a simple statement of Mani Ratnam’s wife Suhasini who said that, “Just like only qualified people should work in films, only qualified people should review the film.” While addressing to a press meet at Chennai, this insensitive statement from her creates a great distress among film critics.

Suhasini added to her statement that, “Of late, everyone who has the basic knowledge in computers, has started writing film reviews. Professionals shouldn’t let that happen. Madras Talkies has been producing quality films for the last 23 years and only professionals should review Ok Bangaram.”

The way she asked only for qualified critics to write OK Bangaram review, media personals and critics are now planning to give a retort to her and the best way definitely will be not promoting it in media.
