Hyderabad, July 8: Telangana TS EAMCET counselling dates are postponed as per the orders from Hyderabad High Court for Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU-H).

Telangana TS EAMCET, Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test counselling that is scheduled for today, July 8 (Wednesday) are postponed now. Yesterday, Hyderabad High Court has passed orders to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University of Hyderabad (JNTU-H) regarding this. It notified postpone on 80 private engineering colleges that are to take part in the web counselling 2015.

As per the orders, the JNTU officials postponed and new TS EAMCET counselling dates will be announced within a day. As HC didn’t mention any rules to conduct the admission process, the management team said that counselling process has been postponed. Ramana Rao, JNTUH Registrar said, “The Tuesday’s high court ruling do not provide us with conducive methods for the conduct of the counselling sessions, which is why we have put it off by a few days”.

Recently, JNTU has appealed for including 80 private engineering colleges as per the HC’s order. Waiting for the proper directives to take over, university has postponed the process of admissions into Engineering and Medical courses of graduation. And it is noticeable point that the new TS EAMCET Counselling dates will be announced today, Wednesday evening.

JNTU in the press release yesterday noted, “The university has decided to go for an appeal against the HC’s directive to include the 80 private engineering colleges in the counselling process. A request has been made by the university to the advocate general to take necessary steps for filing an appeal. Until appropriate order is passed by the division bench of the high court, the counselling process will be deferred”.

Earlier it is said that number of seats are less than the qualified students. Hence, the University requested for 80 colleges to take part in the admission process. Now, with this, for 90,556 students who are qualified in EAMCET entrance exam this year, more than 25,000 seats will be remained vacant. Hence officials of Telangana State Council for Higher Education TSCHE appealed High Court said the new counselling dates will be announced today.
