Hyderabad: Telangana State government is planning to make Secunderabad as Wi-Fi enabled zone, soon it will take up the project of Wi-Fi enabling Secunderabad.

Telangana government is planning to make Hyderabad city as the first Wi-Fi enabled city in country, the state government taken a step towards it and launched free Wi-Fi services in 10 km radius of one of the famous tourist place in city Hussain Sagar.

The Telangana state government IT Minister Taraka Rama Rao has launched the project on 16th April, 2015. People can utilize Wi-Fi services for first half an hour with a speed of 2 Mbps to 20 Mbps. Now the state government is planning to launch Wi-Fi services at Secunderabad zone.

As per information preliminary meeting was organised with the persons concerned in the Telangana government to take up the project of Wi-Fi enabling Secunderabad. This information was confirmed by the Director-General of the Cellular Operators Association of India, Rajan S.Mathews and Ericsson India Head Technology Manoj Dawane.

The official has just finished the first meeting to take up the project and they discussed about the details like the number of users, the adaptability and capability of mobile operators to use the available bandwidth and son on.

Telangana Government is planning to make Hyderabad as smart city and it is moving towards project “Digital India”. If everything goes fine as per planning people at Secunderabad can enjoy the free Wi-Fi services soon.
