India, July 4: An American woman, C Christine Fair roaming across India sings Hindi songs to force auto drivers for going by the meter safely to the place where she wants.

C Christine Fair, a research scholar from the University of Chicago has posted a video on YouTube, that how she tried out on an innocent driver in Hyderabad. Auto driver refused to take her to Charminar and then she placed herself in the back side of auto and started singing a Bollywood songs “Mujhe neend na aaye”. Auto driver shocked with this and agreed to go where she wanted to. She faced these situations in Delhi, Mumbai and other Indian cities and carried out successfully.

Fair shared this with reporters that “just plop myself in the back seat and explain that I will just sing until he goes.  Again, polite.  Always ‘aap.’ But I’m willing to sing my little ‘dil’ out. They concede”.

She is a good playlist of Bollywood songs and can speak fluent Hindi through accented. She did her PhD in South Asian languages and civilizations and studied Hindi, Urdu and Punjabi formally. She is currently working on a book titled ‘Lashkar-e-Taiba in Their Own Words’ and about support for terrorism in Pakistan.
