White House got a letter on Monday that is tested positive for Cyanide at an off-site mail screening facility on Tuesday, Secret Service in US told.

A letter in White House tested positive for Cyanide at an off-site mail screening facility. As per the Secret Service in US, this is done on Tuesday.

The officials involved in the testing process said that the letter received on Monday tested negative for biological agents at the screening facility in US.

When tested on Tuesday, the officials from the same testing process said, “presumptive positive for cyanide”. Latest they transferred it to other site for further testing.

They also said that the letter is not confirmed to either Obama or any others in the White House. There are no issues to test it for the second time.

“As this is an ongoing investigation, the Secret Service will have no additional comment,” the statement said.

Numbers of letters with anthrax were sent to members of the news and officials belonging to public in the area of Washington after the attacks of 11th September 2001. The process included the White House and members of Congress.

The anthrax killed five people and 17 others fell ill. Finally the officials blamed a military scientist who later committed suicide for this situation.

For this cause only, the letters and packages that are for the White House are checked and screened at screening facility centre before sending it to the President review.

This will be perfectly done in order to protect the staff and President too.

Previously, in 2013, federal agents arrested a man who had sent poison ricin letters to Mr. Obama and a Republican senator.

For these all issues only, the screening facility is carried out with complete perfection and Secret Service are rendered for the safety of public staff.
