The exam is conducted for entry into one of the 7 AIIMS institutes across India. It is conducted in 171 cities in India. The exam is conducted in two shifts-morning shift (9 A.M to 12.30 P.M) and afternoon shift (3 P.M to 6:30 P.M). The duration of the exam is 3 1/2 hours. The exam is conducted on subjects-biology, physics, chemistry and general knowledge, 60 questions from each subject and 20 questions from general knowledge. Each question carries 1 mark and 1/3 mark will be deducted from wrong answers.
