Aamir Khan spoke about intolerance at Ramnath Goenka Excellence in Journalism Awards and he earned wrath of Millions of Indians. Every one mocked him and criticized him so badly. Lots of trolls and memes were made on Aamir Khan. There was support as well as hatred.

But social media often gets into active mode during these things and they have mis-spelled Aamir for Amir Efrati. Amir Efrati who is a reporter based in San Francisco, woke on Tuesday up to find his Twitter feed inundated with messages meant for the Bollywood actor.

Instead of searching Aamir, everyone have searched Amir and has lashed the journalist. This case of mistaken identity is tragic and hilarious. Lots of tweets were made and asked Efrati to go to Pakistan or Africa. They even told him that Snapdeal app is being uninstalled. However the journalist took it on positive note and he responded to them with sense of humour. He said Indians are being ‘Spelling-challenged’.

He tweeted, “This experience made me think Twitter is a big deal in India, but it doesn’t seem to be, by all objective measures.” He also tweeted, “Love it when @aamir_khan says controversial things. Shows me what it’s like to be Twitter celeb. My notifications”.
