Melbourne: Australia and China inked a deal to share information between each other regarding ice conditions for navigation and shipping across Antarctica continent.

Australia and China inked a deal for sharing information each other regarding ice conditions across Antarctica for navigation and shipping. National Marine Environment Forecasting Centre of China and Ecosystems Cooperative Research Centre in Hobart city were signed each other according to ABC news.

“Australian and Chinese scientist will be share information regarding ice condition around the region” added Acting Chief Executive of the CRC Mark Kelleher. He also said that this agreement is increasing their capabilities, so that they can became better at forecasting helping navigation processes and ice difficulties in the sea.

“Both sides collaboration had happened for 30 years” said Kelleher and also added that they believe this partnership will be useful to them to be a strong position and place they lead for developing models and techniques which are required to forecasting to aid Antarctic shipping.

Interest is rising up in the Antarctic, especially in relation to its importance for understanding climate change. Kelleher said that Chinese are interested and our research will go on by understanding on each other.
