As buzz is to be believed that, Star actors Mahesh and Vijay are going to act in a film of Rs 350 Cr Budget under director Sundar C.
At a time when Mahesh Babu is finalizing projects like never before (he has films lined up with Vamshi Paidipally, Puri Jagannadh, Koratala Shiva and Trivikram Srinivas, apart from the current assignment with AR Murugadoss), here is the news that a Kollywood production house is in talks with him for a tri-lingual film (and Mahesh will be the hero of the Telugu version).
As per source, we have already reported that Tamil director Sundar C is planning to make a huge project with Rs 350 Cr budget. Suriya was rumored to have come on board to act in this bilingual film. However, the latest reports suggest that Sundar C has decided to shoot the Telugu and Tamil versions separately with Mahesh and Vijay playing the lead in each version. Vijay is said to be already in discussions and Mahesh is yet to be approached. The estimated budget of the three versions is said to be beyond Rs. 350 cr, making this the costliest venture ever directed by a single director.
The movie has been titled as ‘Sangamithra’ and the regular shoot will be started from September. Thenandal Films is going to bankroll this upcoming project whereas the music is scored by A R Rahman. Art director Sabu Cyril and VFX Supervisor RC Kamalakannan have been roped for the upcoming project. On the other side, Mahesh Babu is getting ready to join the set of AR Murugadoss’s upcoming directorial venture, tentatively titled as Vascodigama. It is heard that Mahesh Babu will take the decision about Sangamithra by the end of this month and currently he wants to focus on Murugadoss project.
