India’s version of Maruti Suzuki Ertiga scored 4 Stars out of 5 in the crash test for safety. The details are furnished as under.

New Car Assessment Program for Southeast Asian Countries (ASEAN NCAP) tested the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga model of the Indian version. This crash test fetched mixed results for the vehicle. the compact SUV has fetched 4/5 stars for safety in Adult Occupant Protection (AOP) assessment. The vehicle scored 12.39 points out of the maximum 16.00 points. This can be rated as 4/5 stars. But, Ertiga performed poorly in the in the Child Occupant Protection (COP) assessment. It secured only 2-star rating out of the maximum 5 stars. The COP gives only 33% security for the segment. The Side impact test has also been passed by the vehicle.

The Maruti Suzuki Ertiga sold in Asian markets gets seat belt pre-tensioner & force limiters, dual front airbags, ABS and EBD as the safety features for the driver and front passenger. There is no ESC feature for the vehicle sold here.
