On the occasion of Jamesthi Tata’s 175th birth anniversary, the Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi released a commemorative coin for the first time.

PM, Narendra Modi made the honour of releasing a commemorative coin on the occasion of Jamesthi Nusserwanji Tata’s 175th birth anniversary as he is very popular as the father of the modern Indian industry. On behalf of this attribution, Modi said, “those who create history, without seeking or holding power, are truly great.” He even eulogized him for his view of environment gracious energy and the proposals for the public wellbeing allied with the Tata group.

“The culture of businessmen donating massive amounts in charity was new to the Western world, but Jamsetji Tata had done the same long ago,” he added. Jamsetji Tata is the first one, the first industrialist who was that honoured by the Indian government. At earlier, the Indian government honoured him with the release of postal stamps on 1958 and 1965. But, this is the highlight one for an industrialist that such an appreciation is well mannered.

He said, “The two great men – one an ascetic and the other an industrialist – shared the same wavelength and had a common vision for a self-reliant India.”

On this occasion, the Chairman of Tata Sons Cyrus P Ministry said, “Jamsetji’s focus was two-pronged, each equally important and interconnected.” “The first was the industrialisation of the country and building the requisite human capital. The second was conducting business in a fashion that positively impacted the quality of lives of the people it touched,” he said.
