Chennai: Vijay upcoming film that is remake of Vijaykanth’s yesteryear movie ‘Chatriyan’ starring Samantha and Amy Jackson started shooting at Late.Sivaji Ganesan’s residence ‘Annai Illam’.

Fans of Vijay are currently busy with ‘Puli’ and the actor is calm and composed as always. The actor acts under Atlee direction for the tentatively titled ‘Vijay 59’. The movie is said to be a remake of Vijaykanth’s yesteryear movie ‘Chatriyan’. Samantha and Amy Jackson are the two female leads.

The shooting is happening at a decent pace. After completing a major chunk of portion in ECR, the team started the next phase of shooting at a famous hot spot. The place is none other than Late.Sivaji Ganesan’s residence ‘Annai Illam’. Raadika Sarathkumar and Veteran Director Mahendran are also doing substantial roles.

The shooting took place at that place and from inside sources we hear that Lots of police vehicles were parked in front of the home and Vijay was seen in Cop uniform and talkie portions were shot. Vijay was seen interacting with some politician. Atlee was busy explaining the scene to the actor.

We also heard from sources that the movie is half-way through and the entire movie will be wrapped up before November. The makers are also planning to release the First look of the movie by Diwali.
