SSC CGL Examination Pattern and the method of conduction is changed. In this regard, the SSC Chairman has made an announcement officially.
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has decided to conduct Combined Graduate Level Examination (CGLE) online. As per the latest pattern announced, the CGLE will be conducted in three tiers instead of two from now. These changes are made to make the test more transparent and put a check to the malpractices. SSC CGL Examination Pattern is available on the official website for the aspirants.
For various mid-level central government jobs, including as Assistant in Intelligence Bureau and Inspector in Income Tax SSC CGL Examination is conducted every year.
SSC CGL Examination Pattern will be replacing the Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) based exam. Around 38 lakh candidates have applied for CGLE 2016. All these aspirants have to take the test under the new pattern. The examination is likely to be conducted in the next two months.
A notice has been issued mentioning the changes in SSC CGL Examination Pattern. The decision to hold the CGLE online was endorsed by Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi. SSC Chairman Ashim Khurana said a video walkthrough on the SSC’s website has been put up to help the aspirants understand the new pattern.
Nearly 89,000 central government posts in 30 different services this year alone will be recruited in the country by conducting eight exams by the SSC. For the first time, SSC has authorised to make recruitment for gazetted posts of Indian Audit and Accounts department.
Details about the new pattern:
- In phase I, there will be 100 questions as against 200 earlier.
- 1.15 hours of time is allotted to the candidates instead of 2 hrs.
- There will be no change in phase II and two papers of 200 marks each would continue.
- Those who qualify in both phase I and phase II, will be eligible take phase III exam of 100 marks which will be descriptive in nature.
