Coming to the kabali story, it revolved on the pre independence time in Malaysian backdrop. Nearly 60% of the movie shot in Malaysia only. Kabali (Rajinikanth) is born to an Indian family and later he migrated to Malaysia and fight for the Indian workers who are working as stuck labors. The story starts with British rule and during those days, many Indians were sent to Malaysia as workers and they were treated like a daily labor. Superstar fights aggressively for Indian workers and their rights in Malaysia. He becomes the leader for Indian Labors and as a result, he imprisoned for 25 years. Later he returned from Jail after 25 years and how he becomes the Don is the rest of the story.
Rajini will be seen as Old Don in the movie and he has seen in Younger look for just 20 minutes in the flashback episode. The movie has huge star cast. It features Radhika Apte, Dhansika, Johny Vijay, Rithvika and Kalairasan in key roles. Directed by Pa. Ranjith and produced by Kalaipuli S Thanu. Popular music director Santosh Narayan has composed wonderful tunes for the film.
