May 11: WMBD 2015 Video Contest – The World Migratory Bird day is an Annual Global Celebration that includes video contest and is inviting participants with creative videos. Interested, innovative video makers can participates in this contest and have a chance to win prize money. They can also get a chance to produce this year’s World Migratory Bird Day Trailer.

World Migratory Bird Day (WMBD) – Brief Description

World Migratory Bird Day is an annual global celebration with an aim to raise the cognizance regarding migratory birds and their habitats. It was initiated in the year of 2006 and every year, WMBD is celebrated on the second week of May by organizing various events such as bird festivals, education programmes, exhibitions and bird-watching excursions.

WMBD activities will take place in many countries and different places across the world. If you are interested to participate in this event grab details here. It is good news that anyone can participate in this event. WMBD events are held on the second week of May united by the common theme and campaign, in all corners of the world. Thousands of people in all ages have involved in this event.

Interested people can participate as individual or as team. If you are participating with a team, then assign a team leader and the maximum number of candidates for a team is not fixed.

Participation Steps

People who are interested to participate in this event should send a trail video with following details.

• The video should be creative and it should promote World Migratory Bird Day (WMBD) 2015 event by focusing the theme “Energy – make it bird-friendly!”
• It should focus to encourage people to take an action on WMBD 9-10 May 2015 with three minutes.
• The video must include official website of WMBD www.wolrdmigratorybirdday.de as well as the logos of WMBD, CMS and AEWA.
• Video can accepted in any language feel free to use any language which is comfortable, but mostly recommend English, French or Spanish, If possible English subtitles.

Submission of Video

Interested participants can upload the video into YouTube and send that link to [email protected] with the subject as “WMBD 2015 Video Contest Participate”, includes first and Surname of the participate or team leader.

Note: Participants should submit the video as soon as possible and it should reach contest as on before 14^th May, 11:59 pm (GMT+1:00) Thursday.

Prize Money

1st Prize  –   1,500€
2nd Prize – 1,000€
3rd Prize –  500€

And the first prize video will be promoted as the 2015 WMBD trailer.

Winner Selection Process and Results

The creative video maker selection process will be done by the online voting process till 27^th May, 2015 and internal selection committee. Share your videos through social media Facebook, twitter using the #WorldMigratoryBirdDay to get more votes for your creative video.

The event organizers will announce best creative video maker for WMBD 2015 at www.worldmigratorybirdday.org on World Environment Day i.e. 5^th June, 2015.
